Australia 1st February 04 - Congratulations Tim Tyler!
Tim won the G12 GTP Race at the annual Australia Day Classic race in Sydney last weekend. He TQ'd (by over 2/10ths of a second) and led from start to finish to win by over 15 laps. Tim used the AB Slotsport Viper Chassis & JK “B” Tyres!

Congratulations Tim Tyler! Sydney Australia - 31st March using the AB Slotsport Viper, and motor components supplied by SPR, Tim broke the qualifying, bracket and race records for Group 12 GTP. Not just "broke" but SMASHED the race record. From 257 laps to 265 laps.

First race of the 2004 German Championship;- Herbret Paulus wins EUROSPORT open Grp.12: using JK-B tires and a JK-Cadillac body. 3rd place Benno Zimmermann using JK-B tires, a JK-Cadillac and Herbert’s AB-Viper-chassis. Congratulations!

Congratulations TEAM SHARK winners of the Natal provincial champs six hour race. The winning 1/24 production sports car used the ABslot supplied BPA Bentley and JK poly rims. Team Sharks members Craig Strydom, Lance Cranmer, Ashwin Maharaj and Dave Greer. The car was over 300 laps ahead of the nearest rival and still breaking existing lap records right up in to the sixth hour. After a clean it also went on to top qualify for the sprint races in the hands of Craig Strydom, setting a new 4.2 second lap record in the process and eventually taking second to Lance Cranmer using a last minute prepared clone, also with the ABslot supplied BPA Bentley and JK Poly rims.

Congratulations Matti Fyhr! Winner of the 1/24 Eurosport at the Finnish Nationals! Matti ran the following;- Chassis: KRP, Setup: RL 6mag, Arm: PK 23/25,5, Gears: 7/45 ( EDM/Black Hybrid )
Rear tyres: NSR/JK, Body: Parma RM1

British Slot Car Racing Association 2004 1/32 Scale Nationals

Congratulations to all award winners and especially to the following guys who put their trust in AB Slotsport to supply them the product, which combined with their skill and ability gave them the following results;-

Greg Harwood - 1st Place in Premier grade Sports - using one of our Horky Eurosport chassis. Greg also took 5th in the Premier Saloon Final using an AB Slotsport R132 chassis - and managing this on the gutter lane in a single run shoot out was no mean feat!

Mike Harrison - 1st place in Main grade Formula One - a great race dominating this class with one of our Radcovic Formula One Chassis.

Graeme Stephenson, a previous Novice Champion with one of our production RTR’s took a rocking 1st Place in Main Grade Saloon running an AB Slotsport R132 chassis.

David Wood - 1st Place in Novice Production - using an AB Ready to Run Production car. The 5th driver in 7 years to win with a production car built by AB.

Congratulations also go to Adam Radford, 2nd in Division 2 Saloon, Running an AB R132 and David Wood, 3rd in division 2.

Congratulations James Cleave & Stan Alton! - Winners of round 5 Southern 32 Team Race - Swindon - 13.06.04. James & Stan dominated the Team race with a JK 1/32 Saloon car chassis. Proving you can win a competive race with a kit that costs less than £30! The JK Chassis also figured high in following positions with Vince Lee & Ian Barker 2nd & Paul Harwood and Nick Evans in 4th place.

Congratulations to James Cleave! James came 8th in The 1/32 Formula one at ISRA using the great, new AB/Parker Merlin Chassis. This is the first “real” race the Merlin chassis has contested and for sure James has done us proud, Qualifying 5th in the semis and finishing 8th in a truly World Class field. James was the only Brit to make the Final, Brit Semi-finalists also included Charlie Gooding (12th) & Brian Saunders (24th).

Congratulations to “Team Ovens” at the Luton Round of the 1/32 B.O.C.
John Ovens (Dad) Won Div. 2 1/32 Saloon G12 with his Proslot Powered JK Saloon chassis, running an AB Slotsport SS Subaru body.
Michael Ovens (Son) Won Div. 2 Formula One in his first F1 B.O.C. Strap motor powered race using an AB Slotsport/Parker Merlin Chassis and a motor blagged from Paul Harwood. Great to see new racers in the sport getting excellent results!
Congratulations also Go to Harwoods Paul & Greg, Greg took Saloon running JK B tyres and Paul won Formula One using JK B. Once more proving these are tyres to run!

British Slotracing League Finals - Lytham October 04
Congratulations to “Team Mighty Ducks” the “proxy” AB Slotsport Team for Winning the Saturday Enduro Team race (for the second year in a row) - Drivers;- Graeme Stephenson, John Brown & Andrew Aynsley + a “2nd” place in the Sunday Team race for Graeme & John. The car featured AB Slotsport S16D preconditioned motor and JK Polymer hub tyres.
Also to “Team Southern” who won the Sunday Team Event and the overall championship & Adam Southern for winning the Individual 1/32 class.

24 Hours of MERLIJN 16/17 October 04 CONGRATULATIONS TEAM NORTH LONDON - Winners of the last ever 24 hour race at Merlijn, Belgium. Team members;- Ian Fisher, Paul Harwood, James Cleave & John Hyde. An excellent, hard fought result. North London used the same AB Slotsport “Scorpion” chassis they have used almost countless times to win enduro events - This chassis has now spent over 120 hours in “Victory Lane”! A great tribute to the Team, Ian as “Pitman” and the Chassis!

CONGRATULATIONS - James Cleave - winning the S32 Individual 1/32 race at Bournmouth using an AB SLOTSPORT Preconditioned RJR Hornet motor - proving once more that “you don’t need a big wallet” to win, Just quality product and the skill to drive it.

CONGRATULATIONS - Paulo Trigilio - Winning G12 Eurosport at the Minden (Germany) Euro Cup 24.10.04. Paulo used JK B tyres on Polymer Hubs to drive to a convincing victory. JK B Polymer hub tyres in both standard and Treated types figured large in this event as the tyre choice of Champions.

CONGRATULATIONS - Paul Sheppard + James Cleave for a 1 -2 in Formula One at this weeks British Open Championship! (31.10.04) Paul and James both ran the great AB Slotsport / Parker Merlin Formula One Chassis. Proving once more that design is more important than expense and it is possible to win a Championship race with a £50 kit!
