And so to the racing!
Race fomat as usual was One minute qualifying (this round with all laps to count) then a 4 lane, 3 minute segmented final. Win from any final. 1st up as usual was the Hardbody TSRF class. Concours was taken by;- Ben Woodward, Russell Gordge and David Farrow. Top Qualifier was Graeme Stephenson. Race winner with a supreme run was Mick Kerr followed by David Farrow and home driver Eddie Grice with the following 3 positions taken by North East drivers Adam Radford, Graeme Stephenson & Andy Brown-Searle LEXAN TSRF Concours winners in Lexan were Mick Kerr, Ralph Parker and Sandy Parker. Top Qualifier was Mick Kerr. FORMULA ONE Concours in Formula one is combined over both classes and winners were Graeme Stephenson with his G12 car and Mick Kerr with both his Falcon & G12 car. Adam came a close possible for concourse but did not have a well painted driver - doubtless a lesson he will not forget! Falcon saw a ripping T.Q. From Mick Kerr and also a win in the race hotly pursued by Graeme Stephenson just 79 feet behind at the end of all 4 segments. The G12 A Final was indeed a race to behold, with the temperature rising ever higher and grip getting lower, Graeme set the pace from the start with Adam close on his heals, followed by Mick and Ben. Graeme led the race through to the halfway point in the last segment with Adam no more than fractions of a lap behind when disaster stuck and Graeme’s pinion took a holiday and Adam got his 1st place, followed by Mick and Ben. Graeme however had done enough to maintain a 4th in the race and with his TQ point and Concours points, joint 1st place overall.
