NORTH LONDON 1/32 Retro Bash 29th May

Not so much of a race report, more a photo gallery to celebrate the event. A whole pile of genuine retro cars and also cars built in the spirit of the event appeared at the track for a day which can only be described as great fun and excellent racing.
Classes raced were Pre 1961 GP/Indy and pre 71 Saloon.
“Modern Built” cars were allowed in both classes provide they had no “New technology” and were powered with nothing quicker than a Falcon or Mabuchi “S” motor.

Left;- Winning Saloon Concours from Graeme Stephenson, built & painted by Andy Brown-Searle. Body is Hornby, Wheels from NSR.
Below - a truly beautiful Indy Car - wish we knew who’s it was!

Above;- The GP/Indy field, there scary thing is most of the cars finished the race looking just as good!
Right;- Winning GP/Indy Concors car from Mick Kerr. Very Tidy!

A great day’s racing and a plethora of vintage / retro parts to sift through at the impromptu swap meet in the pit area!

This will not be the last Retro meeting!
It’s just too much fun!
