LONGBENTON 1/32 B.O.C. FINAL ROUND 2002/03

The Final round of the 2002/2003 1/32 B.O.C. Championship was held at Longbenton track, home of Newcastle Slot Racing Club & Riverside Exiles on the 23rd March 2003.

A good entry of 15 racers appeared for this including “returnees” and previous National Novice Champions and Riverside racers, Kevin Noon and Alex Newton.

Top Left;- Brian Saunders winning BSP saloon.
Left;- Paul Harwoods R132 saloon took 2nd place with a softening motor.
Below left;- The F1 top final grid
Below right;- Top 4 finishing F1 cars. 1st - 4th left to right. Sharp eyed readers will note a 3 year old ILPE chassis in 3rd place powered by a Koford 459 31/27! This car was borrowed by Kevin Noon from Alex Newton and quite successfully too as neither Kevin or Alex have raced anywhere for the last couple of years!
