1/32 Formula One Restricted Motor Classes;-
Class One;- C can or D can motors with G12, Super Wasp/Hornet, Contender, S16d tagged armatures. (in C can, the TWP Ultra set-up is legal). Open choice of chassis, wheels and tyres as per BSCRA spec Formula One rules.
1/32 Formula One Restricted Class Two;- TSRF & JK Falcon motors only, up to, and including Falcon 3, all must be unopened, unpainted and unmodified in any way. The motor shaft may be trimmed for length & in the case of the TSRF motor, the ground tag removed from the live terminal of the motor.
Chassis;- SCD “C” can or AB “All motor F1 chassis”, “Devil”, JK Falcon chassis, BPA Falcon chassis or any genuine “budget” chassis kit, commercially available and with a retail kit price of less than £27.00, or genuine scratch built chassis. Redundant or current “Open formula one”. Manufactured chassis are not permitted in this class. All other dimensions as per BSCRA Formula One rules. Rear track entry clearance minimum 0.5mm. Front axle may be 3/32 diameter. Front wheels must touch and roll and clearence under the front of the chassis and any suspension detail must be a minimum of 0.5mm on a flat tech block.
Body Shells;- Any commercially available Formula One body from 1970 onwards. All cars should have a detailed 3 dimensional driver, minimum head shoulders, arms and top of steering wheel.
All cars in both Formula One classes must be painted in “Proto-typical” paint schemes.
TSRF 1/24th scale Retro Saloon. This class may be entered using the following;- 1/32 scale TSRF chassis (to the Clubman 1/32 rules) set up as shortest chassis / longest axle setting only, with a Betta 10thou 1972 Mini body, or 1/24 scale TSRF chassis with the following 10 thou JK bodies;- Dodge Charger (4 1/2”), Pontiac GTO (4 1/2”), Chevy Camaro (4”). Standard TSRF parts and motors must be used. Free choice of wheels and tyres. Front tyres must be sponge or rubber and be minimum 8mm wide, 26mm diameter.
General Rules pertaining to all classes;- Concours judging;- TSRF and Formula One;- Concourse will be judged by 3 nominated judges. The top 3 cars in each class will each be awarded 3 race points in the specific class. Racers who present 2 cars for Formula One (one for each sub-class) must take their points to the class in which the car is entered. Qualifying;- The top qualifier in each class will be awarded on additional race point. Race Points;- All racers are awarded finishing points in the classes they race as per;- 1st - racer entry number + 5, 2nd - racer entry + 4, 3rd - racer entry + 3, 4th - racer entry + 2, 5th - racer entry + 1, 6th - racer entry 7th - race entry -1 ...........etc. -Scrutineering;- Will be held prior to qualification for each class. The scrutineers word is final.
Manufacturers wishing to submit chassis for approval to the Falcon F1 class should apply to Ralph Parker or Andy Brown-Searle. Chassis must be Commercially available, have a retail price of less than £27.00 and be available to other UK distributors at a minimum discount of 30%. This is to protect racers from persons wishing to introduce “enhanced product” into the class.
Race meeting class running order and track preparation;- Race order:- TSRF Lexan & Hard body - raced together and seperated by qualification unless racer volume dictates otherwise. 1//24th TSRF Retro Saloon Falcon Formula One (The above classes should be run on track with minimal spray glue) Limited Motor Formula One - should be raced after the less powerful classes and a warm up period of minimum 30 minutes allowed for racers to “glue up” the track and achieve a grip level commensurate with the performance of the cars - prior to the commencement of qualifying - this grip level and how it should be achieved is to be defined by the Race controller and “Local rules” at each event.

The host club should be responsible for supplying the following:- 1) Race control and race controller 2) Clerk of the course 3) An approved scrutineer to assist in scrutineering 4) provide a formal list of results within 48 hours of the race meeting. 5) Minimal catering standards - Tea, Coffee, Soft drinks etc. Events will be posted on www.abslotsport.com on the CLUBMAN PAGE.
